NOMAD GARDEN

‘When we look at the countries in which the most densely populated cities are located and observe the predictions for the next 40 years, it is clear that architects here in Europe will do hardly anything! What is going to happen in our geographical area? Our old attitudes which have served to let our cities grow and to make big plans are not useful any longer. We have also had to realize that architecture and building are no longer the sectors that can support our economy. We need to find new ways of working in areas when the growth of cities is weak and even negative. Perhaps our job now consists not so much in doing more, but rather in reorganizing what already exists. We should probably begin to give value to certain spaces we already have and to consider other resources, which are already present in our cities'.
